Having lived my adult life in Hamilton we returned from a “Geriatric OE” to live on the Thames Coast.

Then it was a case of where to from here.

I wasn’t ready to stop working but I also wanted to have flexibility. I had a part time job teaching English as a second language and enjoyed that but I wasn’t doing anything creative which I missed.

One Sunday afternoon I went along to a workshop where I learnt some of the basic skills of making necklaces and earrings. I really enjoyed it and so the love affair started.

It has grown from making gifts to a busy little business. I have several ranges now from semi precious stones through to my more glamour retail range.

Sometimes I am asked how I design and what inspires me. The answer the beads themselves. I look at them place them out and move them around until they just look right to me.
